Peer Supervision

“Supervision is a conversation between peers that ultimately fosters the well-being of the absent other.”

Mary Rose Bumpus

As spiritual directors, we always want to bring our best selves to the ministry of direction. Having our own spiritual director helps us continue on our own journey of self-discovery and assists us in being attentive to the movement of God in our own lives.

In addition, having good supervision can help us understand what is happening in us when we sit with a particular directee as well as offer us help in the actual practice of spiritual direction.
